I can scarcely believe it has been 5 years since I published my book, Venus Genius: The Female Prescription for Innovation! The odds were stacked against me – a speaker, not a writer – writing my first book in English at that stage of my life. Yet, I persevered and did it!
I am overjoyed to announce Venus Genius has won the respected Goody Business Book Awards, which honor 100% Social Impact books and authors making a difference with words. It earned first prize in the ‘Women in Business’ category and was a finalist for the ‘Thought Leader’ Award.
Venus Genius: The Female Prescription for Innovation explores innovation from different perspectives: historical, scientific, sociological, cultural and practical — all through the feminine lens. It addresses the shortage of women in innovation and the importance of addressing it to accelerate global innovation. As a chemist, I share my Feminine Formula for Successful Innovation including tips on how to practice.
Venus Genius is about celebrating the duality of the feminine and the masculine in all human beings and dares us to activate both energies to create innovation that brings true value to our world.
It was published in December 2020.

The book Champagne & Apple Pie: Uncork Your New Life! is about how my expatriation from France to the US in the early 90s brought me to the conclusion that moving abroad is not running from ourselves to start from scratch, but on the contrary a catalyst to discovering who we truly are. Based on my chemical background and innovation experience, I propose a formula to reinvent your life based on your strengths and passions, with tools and guidance for practice.

Most expatriates move abroad for a job
Expatriation is a different experience if you move alone or with a family
When you move, you don’t leave your past and your problems behind you
Expatriation is NOT travel
Expatriation - like other big changes such as having a kid, divorcing, retiring or losing a loved one - is an opportunity to reinvent our life
It won’t be better in your new environment, it will just be different, with the good, the bad and the ugly
Becoming “better” is not about fixing our shortcomings, but maximizing our strengths
Our passions buried in our daily routines are a powerful engine for our reinvention.
You'll be able to download the book introduction below when the book will be published in December 2025

SPEAKER SERIES AROUND THE BOOK THEMES
What a better way to bring a book to life than inviting people to share their expertise and/or experience around the different aspects of my book: expatriation, life reinvention, handling big life changes, adaptation, finding who you are, joyful purpose, innovation, chemistry.
I had the pleasure to start the Speaker Series with John Warner, expert in Green Chemistry; we had a bubbly discussion around key themes of the book: Nature, Chemistry and Adaptation.
Adaptation is a necessary skill when facing life changes. John Warner explored how Mother Nature handles change and innovation.

Christine uses abstract, mixed media painting as a healing tool, creating soulful works that guide viewers toward inner peace.
She also knows about expatriation, having grown up in Jamaica.
I love her book: Art Journey to Inner Peace, that resonates with my book themes of finding who you are and discovering your joyful purpose.

Chef Veera is passionate about food as a connector and entry point in learning about and sharing your own culture with others.
I thoroughly enjoyed how she describes cooking and food as a universal language and how food can act as a comfort in times of disorientation and cultural adaptation -
a reassurance of who we are.
